Members Gather for Annual Meeting!
Annual Meeting PhotoAbout 100 members and guests got together at the Broad Institute on May 28 for one reason alone -- to participate in the very exciting business of conducting the Club's legally-mandated annual meeting!

Well, the complimentary food and drinks maybe helped draw a few people in. And maybe some were enticed by best-selling novelist Matthew Pearl, who gave a great talk about his background research into MIT in the 1860s to write The Technologists, the winner of the 2013 Massachusetts Book Award for Fiction.

Not to mention our newly elected officers, our outstanding volunteers, and Shawn Kenner, recipient of this year's Inspirational Teacher Award for the Boston area.

Thanks to everyone who attended! See a slideshow of photos from the meeting.

Dawna Levenson '83 joins the club leadership as Director of Professional Development
As Director of Admissions for Sloan's MBA and MFin program and as a former associate director within MIT Professional Education, Dawna is well positioned to leverage her previous experience within the School of Engineering as well as coordinate events with Sloan. She has lots of great ideas for new professional development events. You may reach her at dlevenso@mit.edu.

Mark Hochman, CP '04 joined the club leadership as Director of the Boston Energy Series
Mark has his own strategy consulting and market research company, so he can bring a lot of experience to the Boston Energy Series (BES). He already has lots of ideas of what to do and is incredibly organized. He will be re-energizing the committee and hopes to bring new ideas to the field of energy. I look forward to many BES events in the future. You may reach him at mark.hochman@alum.mit.edu.
