Tickets are no longer available!

The MIT Club of Boston and LAMIT have organized a fun-filled evening to honor L. Rafael Reif, MIT’s recently inaugurated President. This year's black-tie gala will be held at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, starting at 6:15 pm on Saturday, May 11, 2013. The program includes:

EXCITING ENTERTAINMENT
Early in the evening, in the MFA's Remis Auditorium:
•  A short concert will be given by a noted Berklee School of Music ensemble performing traditional Venezuelan music from Pres. Reif's homeland, as well as a number of contemporary selections
• Lively dance numbers will be presented by a MIT student dance group
• A brief, specially-produced film about Pres. Reif will be shown, as well as a video of the "Rhumba for Rafael"that was composed by John Harbison for Pres. Reif's inauguration
And after dinner:
• A musical trio will offer a sampling of Latin American melodies

PRIVATE VIEWING OF GALLERY EXHIBITIONS
During the evening, you will be able to view two of the MFA's special exhibitions, with an opportunity to partake in a tour of the "Blue and White" exhibition led by a museum lecturer. Two tours (each limited to the first 20 people who sign up) will be offered – one during the reception time period; the other, after the dinner. The Contemporary galleries also will be open for us during the gala.

FABULOUS FOOD PLUS
During the reception, there will be scrumptious hors d'oeuvres along with a free drink ticket; the fine dinner with be accompanied by a glass of wine, which will be followed by an assortment of caloric delights for dessert and afterwards.

SURPRISES...both for the gala honoree and for gala attendees
Throughout the dinner time there will be many fun-filled happenings. Along with these, Pres. Reif will offer some brief remarks/insights.

And, of course,
MEET AND GREET
Plenty of time to socialize
and chat with old and new friends.

We hope that you will put on your black tie/festive or formal business attire and will attend this celebration.
